  17. Well gang, I must offer my most sincere thanks and admiration for 
  18. those who made #Election such an incredible success.  You should 
  19. know that I don't own a T.V., so as a result #Election was my only 
  20. source of news.  The radio station that I listen to had only 
  21. spotty coverage, (mostly local at that) and I was concerned that I 
  22. would just have to wait 'til the next morning.  Looking back on 
  23. what I had witnessed last night, I realized this morning that I 
  24. received better coverage due to the efforts of those who reported 
  25. (and typed REALLY fast) than I would have if I had TWO T.V.'s !!! 
  26. As far as I am concerned this demonstrates the power we have 
  27. collective access to through IRC.  I'd like to see a little more 
  28. of this kinda thing and a little less of the bot wars, ad nauseam.

  31. Wow, you know what would be COOL?  If a couple of microphones were 
  32. strung up in the chambers of congress and a computer running 
  33. excellent voice recognition software converted everything to ascii 
  34. text files and another piece of software did the part of 
  35. identifying who was speaking through voice print analysis and it 
  36. could do it in real time and and ...

  39. I know...just a dream...but wouldn't it  be nice to be able keep 
  40. an eye on 'em?

  43. on their keyboards to bring me (and many others) up to the minute 
  44. news and information......
