  23. My reaction when I first heard this on the news was that the Iranians
  24. would likely wait until immediately after the inaugeration and then
  25. release the guy.  That's what they did with the embassy hostages on the
  26. day that Carter left office and there's no reason to think they've
  27. gotten any more civilized since then.  Actually, that's the only time I
  28. can think of that I really felt sorry for old James Earl Carter.
