- And I can remember Philip K. Dick (sort of) - we both gave presentations
- at WesterCon 33, by LAX (Los Angeles Airport), on 7/5/80. A fun show,
- about 1600 people jammed into the ballroom (same as for William Shatner,
- (and we were doing it for free, as usual)(heard Shatner gets $10,000, but
- he IS a $tar)<kvetch-kvetch-kvetch>.

- Steve Ecclesine (seen in WIZARD as the harried video editor, and actually
- a sought-aft Hollywood TV producer) was attending, and reminded me of his
- favorite visual: The giant movie screen for my show was set up wrong, and
- nobody could find any officials to move and fix it (think there was a union
- problem). The crowd was getting restless, they were chanting to see my
- Disney films and out-takes. Alright, that's it - I collapsed the screen
- myself, hoisted it over my shoulder, and then dragged it to a better area,
- where several people helped re-erect it. Steve said I looked like Jesus
- of Hollywood, carrying my screen-cross through the teeming masses.
