  19. I must be bored, following up my own posts, but apparently I was
  20. mistaken. The reason actually given by the higher-ups at the UW
  21. for removing a.b.p.e. was:

  23. The picture groups take up waaaayyy too much disk space; we can't
  24. afford them. We will, therefore, kill the entire a.b.p. hierarchy.

  26. And they did.

  28. Now, I suspect that reasons 1 and 2 as given in my previous post
  29. are what really drove this decision, but maybe not. Hard to believe
  30. that they couldn't just have put a pretty quick expire time on the
  31. a.b.p. groups and let it go, but I guess they didn't want to.
