  23. Actually radiation levels are higher on Mars then on Earth even though
  24. Mars is considerably farther out.  This is because Mars has neither a
  25. strong magnetic field or good atmospheric shield to stop
  26. harmful/mutagenic ultraviolet radiation.  Additionally cosmic rays get
  27. through to Mars surface readily and almost never on Earth.

  30. electric or magna-lev.
