- This is interesting because I am a paying user and have
- been on the system for over 18 months and have had few problems
- with Eskimo North. They do post their voice phone number in the
- login for problems and I have called it and gotten quick responce. The sysop
- useally resopnds to my E-mail preatty quickly if he is online at that time
- or as soon as he gets it.
-
- On occasion they have had busy busy lines but
- I beleive that can be expected from any system from time to time.
- What exactly are you trying to explain here? I called the sysadmin
- on this bucause I would only would want to refer friends to the
- service if they were to get good service and value; and he told
- me that he had not received any calls or e-mail
- about this. Somehow I find ``over 75 calls in order to connect''
- hard to beleive, I can useally connect on the first attempt, If I
- do get an incompatable modem to mine, or a munged port
- they do have 13 other lines I could use, those numbers are given
- to the users.
-
- They do have a full Usenet News feed, Unix shell, online
- games, conference, Telnet and FTP, and I have had little troubble
- with it. The Telnet and FTP Internet functions are new and we users
- are told this and that they are still being tuned and may have bugs
- from time to time.
