  20. These occur when a message is partially written to the PMDF queue. This
  21. is usually attributable to a system failure during the writing process.
  22. In this particular case a system failure is very likely the culprit; there
  23. have been a bunch of power failures at the Claremont Colleges
  24. lately.

  27. We'll look into having a more elaborate message in the future. No promises;
  28. this is detected in a heavily used inner loop and it is extremely difficult
  29. to add much functionality there.
