while it's true that ehud routinely shifts into Heavy Ridicule Mode,
this is the first time i've seen carl get emotional in the year and a half
i've been netting; he has always been helpful, informative, polite, and
(bonus points here) correct.  if he says that garry is indulging in
dec-bashing without offering any solutions, i'm willing to believe him.

it's not even a religious issue --- there's nothing to discuss.
dec decided to implement shareable images in a certain way, and so they did,
and that's all there is to it.  i certainly wish they had done it differently,
but there's no chance of changing it now because it would be incompatible.
