- I am unclear on how to fit a normal model with a skew component to a
- histogram. I can, of course, compute the skew of the data set,
- but that does not tell me if it is a better model than one
- without that factor. I would also like to use robust regression
- because the data set appears to have a few outliers. References?
- For those interested, the data is a histogram of the lumimosities
- of low mass stars. Email or post.
