- I heard the same advertisement a couple of months ago. The remote
- control is sold by Voice Powered Technology in Canoga Park, California.
- It does indeed work from voice command. It is a very simple looking
- device with a microphone built into it. It appears that you program
- it with your voice when you first receive it (get it to learn how you
- say "one," "two," "Monday," "AM," etc.). It then acts a lot like a
- VCR+ Plus, in that it controls the VCR as long as you have the thing
- pointed at your VCR while you are gone.
-
- Its memory stores up to 15 programs as much as 60 days in advance. The
- literature they send you doesn't mention a price. I think they want the
- freedom of changing it, depending on how well sales go. When I called
- them a month ago, they were asking $149 for it. That was a bit too rich
- for my budget. If anyone wants to order the brochure, though, the
- company's phone number (USA only) is 1-800-788-0800.
