- I recently ordered a credit card reader from an ad I found in Radio/
- Electronics magazine. The reader is Model # AYT-MAP100-L01. This reader
- came with almost no documentation; what little came with it explained how
- to get it to read and display a credit card number.
-
- The unit has a "network" connector, which is a RS422 port. I'd like to
- find a way to interface it to my PC, but I really haven't been able to
- get the reader to do very much. I had someone read the EPROM and dump it
- to a file, and from the text I can see that this thing has lots of options
- and features that I am unable to take advantage of. I thought about trying
- to disassemble the EPROM dump, but its written in Z80 assembly language,
- and I am not familiar with that, plus, I don't have a disassembler for it.
-
- What I would like to know is: does anyone out there know anything about
- this card reader? Like how to access some of the features, who made it (
- there's not even a manufacturer's name on it), anything at all that will
- help me get started. I would appreciate any information at all on this
- thing.
-
- Thanks for any help...
