- I have the need for a simple audio mixer for two (would like three) line-
- level sources and one microphone (but two is OK.) Radio-Shack sells a
- unit with Vu meters and sliding faders for about $80 that ALMOST does the
- trick - it has a single line-level input and two phono inputs. The phono
- inputs have both ceramic and moving magnet inputs. I'm wondering if
- there's some way to take apart the RS mixer and convert either of the
- inputs to line-level. (Or is that the purpose of the "moving magnet"
- inputs? I never got into details of phonographs...)
-
- So... what I'd like to know is how hard is it to convert a phono-style
- input to a line-level input? If it's relatively simple, I can use the
- RS mixer. If it's a big deal, can anyone recommend an inexpensive mixer
- with 2 or 3 line level inputs, 1 or 2 mike inputs, Vu meters, cue
- functionality, etc?
-
- Any help, ideas, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
-
- Best regards,
- Ed
