  14.    Greetings, netland.  I expect this is a FAQ, but I haven't seen mention of
  15. it lately.  I need to create a device to let me know if a phone line is in
  16. use (we have modems, a fax, and voices competing for the same line; as you
  17. know, modems and faxes don't take kindly to being interrupted).  I imagine
  18. it's as simple as an LED attached to a voltage comparator circuit, but I'm
  19. ignorant of the details of the phone system.  A schematic would be great;
  20. even a detailed description would suffice (I'm hardware-competent).  E-mail
  21. is fine, or post here if you like.
