  14. The Greatest Spectacle in RC Racing
  15.  
  16. For the fifth year in a row, October 14-18th 1992 will bring 280
  17. racers and 1,000's of spectators to gather at the Olympic Velodrome
  18. which is located at the corner of Victoria and Avalon in the City of
  19. Carson.
  20.  
  21. The focus of this group of International Racers will be the annual
  22. running of the R/C ThunderDrome.  1/10th scale versions of NASCAR
  23. Stock Cars will speed around the 333 meter track at speeds in excess
  24. of 75mph.
  25.  
  26. Celebrities, such as Joe Benson from KLOS, Dan Gurney's All American
  27. Racing Team's #98 Toyota GTP car, the Goodyear Blimp, and a Fun packed
  28. midway will make this unique race a fun family attraction.

  30. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15, 1992
  31. Specially prepared race cars will be provided for the media if they
  32. would like to try their hand at racing.

  34. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16, 1992
  35. The first day of Qualifying starts at 11:00am and continues until
  36. night fall.  The Goodyear Blimp will fly over and welcome the
  37. racers.

  39. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 1992 
  40. Qualifying continues, and the Peterson Publishing Staff will have 
  41. a special race featuring editors of Motor Trend, Hot Rod, Circle 
  42. Track, Car Craft, and more race for the Gold!

  44. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18, 1992
  45. Opening ceremonies, 10:00.  The main events start with the Goodyear
  46. Blimp overhead with attending press for aerial photo opportunity
  47. for the attending press.
