- I have a 1987 Plymouth Sundance, 2.2 l turbo.
-
- Now that the cylinder head has been replaced I am still having a problem
- with an intermittent stall. Once in a while when the car is warm it will
- miss, cough and sputter, then stall. This can happen while driving or
- idling. After a minute it will usually start and run reasonably well until
- the next time.
-
- My mechanic has traced the problem to a loose connection inside (he says)
- the logic module. Apparently he drove the car around with a laptop
- computer hooked up to the car. When it stalled the error code pointed to a
- loss of the ground signal to the logic module, at least that's what he
- said.
-
- He also said that his computer was cleared out by this fault. Normally it
- is supposed to store the last 50 error codes.
-
- Has anyone experienced this problem? Is there any chance of rummaging
- around inside the module and fixing it myself? Or, failing that, can I
- spend less than $350 by buying a rebuilt or used logic module?
