Greetings
I have an '84 plymouth tourismo duster that has incredibly noisy front
suspenstion. The noise was not audible when I bought it around seven months
ago, but surfaced about a week after I bought it as a very slight squeaeking
whenever I went over a large bump i.e. speed bump. It has progressed deispite
my attempts to fix it until at present it loudly protests to the slightest
movement in the suspension. The local dealer did a lot of head scratching
and then charged me for the can of WD-40 he sprayed on everything that moved
under the car. I have localized it (I think) to the bushings on the rear of thecontrol arm, but disassembling them revealed no visible wear, and grease and oil
have no effect. The car has ~80,000 miles on it and I have no idea what the
previous owner did in the way of service.
Please email ANY advice to me. Thanks in advance
Vince
