  27. i have experienced this problem before. my car (85 civic) would
  28. hesitate under moderately heavy accelaration. i had to accelerate
  29. gradually. so i decided to do a tune up. the timing of the engine was
  30. alright but i found out that it was installed with platinium plugs by
  31. the previous owner. the old plugs themselves looked ok, but the part
  32. storeman said actually no platinium  plugs were recommneded for this
  33. engine. so i bought new 'normal' plugs and put them in. and since then
  34. hesitation was history....

  36. my conclusion is that some engines do not work well with platinium
  37. plugs. check your plugs, wires and timing. hope it helps.
