- "Why do I think this is too much money?"
-
- Because it *is* too much money! $970? For pads & rotors??? Sheesh - no
- wonder their name is "Midas". I did my front brakes last year: $22 for pads
- (Bendix semi-met., lifetime warranty), $32 ea. for rotors (Aimco), $4 for new
- O-rings, $3 for brake fluid, total = $93. I don't have rear discs, but the
- parts cost should be similar (it may take more labor because of the parking
- brake interconnects). You ought to be able to do the whole job for $200, and
- then at least you *know* it's been done right. And that's assuming you
- actually do need new rotors, which all these places will invariably say you do,
- whether it's true or not.
