- -> What is the best oil to run in a high performance engine?
-
- Fresh, clean oil. Any reputable brand will do. Doesn't matter if it's
- synthetic, petroleum, or halfbreed.
-
-
- -> Some definitive feedback would be helpful, preferably from someone
- -> who's torn some engines apart and has seen the long term effects of
- -> synthetics.
-
- Over heeeere! Yup. And I've seen no detectable difference, assuming
- the engine has been properly serviced during its lifetime. If you're a
- goob who never changes his oil synthetic would definitely help, but such
- people aren't likely to use synthetics anyway.
