  21. Agenda:
  22.     - NeXTStep 3.0: overview of changes for users.
  23.     - Cub'X: the premier X-Windows package for NeXT, being
  24.          demonstrated by Interactive Technologies, the
  25.          NorthAmerican distributor of Cub'X and the new
  26.          Portland NeXT reseller (yes, a NeXT reseller in 
  27.          Portland).
  28.     - ElectroFile: a top of the line document management product 
  29.         with an very competitive price. We will be seeing the 
  30.         brand new version 2.0 to this very popular product. 
  31.         Insigght Software is a local Portland firm and will 
  32.         be showing all of the features of ElectroFile, 
  33.         including scanning at 20+ pages per min and OCR using 
  34.         the Xerox ScanWorks technology. Trust me, this is a 
  35.         totally cool product and is quite affordable.
  36.     - Executor: the Macintosh emulator. We will be showing 
  37.         Microsoft Word and Excel. We will also be looking at 
  38.         how well Executor plays in the NeXT environment, 
  39.         especially file compatibility. This is an important 
  40.         product and it has been well recieved.
  41.         
  42.     Please come out to this meeting. Much has occured in the NeXT  
  43. market since the last meeting, some time ago. NeXT has release NeXTStep  
  44. 3.0 with user interface modifications, more use of color, an improved from  
  45. the ground up Interface Builder (more way cool than ever), added 3-D  
  46. rendering into the operating system and more. Also the first NeXTWorld  
  47. Expo was held, and event that drew many quiet developers out into the  
  48. open. There has been a massive explosion of apps for the NeXT and we will  
  49. have NeXT third party catalogs on hand. Also, NeXT has shipped the first  
  50. ever Object Catalog detailing the Objective C objects that are available,  
  51. both commercialy and for free. This is a major step and is very tangible  
  52. proof of NeXT's object-oriented approach to both operating system and user  
  53. application design. This object catalog puts NeXT years ahead of  
  54. PowerOpen, Solaris, or Windows NT. Come see why the industry is following  
  55. NeXT.
  56.     Portland now has a NeXT reseller, located in Beaverton. They are  
  57. great team of guys with very extensive backgrounds in computer sales,  
  58. integration, custom software design, and mainframes. Honest, these guys  
  59. are good. Come meet them. (more formal grand openings will follow soon)
