  16. Finding time to write while working full time is always difficult. I count
  17. myself luckiy that I have a very understanding husband; but finally the
  18. actual time can be very difficult.  Basically for me, it involves a few
  19. sacrifices.

  21. Eighteen months ago I decided that I had to make a choice. I was pretty
  22. good at a lot of things (with music as my other great love), but finally
  23. decided that it wasn't enough. I wanted to be brillant at something. It was
  24. a hard decision, but really there was no contest. Writing won. I haven't
  25. picked up the guitar since...

  27. I'm the sort of person who gets really grumpy if I don't write often enough
  28. (which is not to say that the muse is always there waiting for me!:)  But
  29. I really do think that if you don't have enough time, you have to make time.
  30. Somewhere something has got to give...

  32. How much time to I spend writing each week?  Ideally, say two hours a night,
  33. plus one entire day on the weekend. Sometimes more, sometimes less.  I used to
  34. plan to try and right two to three hundred words a night, but found it a lot
  35. easier to plan by time; say two hours a night, or sometimes as vauge as
  36. simply setting a weekly target.

  38. I would like nothing mroe to be able to give up my day job and write full
  39. time. Who won't? :)  But not for a while....
