  17. I wrote a simple database on the Mac. A title field, a text field, a few
  18. keywords (plotline, character sketch, idea fragment, setting). I put in what
  19. I have, and can either browse through looking for nuggets or do keyword
  20. searches looking for specific things. The more complex you make it, the less
  21. likely you are to use it and the harder it is to get stuff back out (and the
  22. more time you spend filing, meaning you spend less time writing).

  24. My next addition will be a box in which I can toss photocopies of stuff or
  25. articles cut out of magazines, or other non-electronic things or interest
  26. that I can occasionally browse through and see if I can make use of.
