-
- Don't know about this particular setup, but when buying rental
- cars in general:
-
- Pros:
- - Late model, and well equipped
- - You get maintenance records
- - Usually comes with a warranty
- - A good deal is usually possible
-
- Cons:
- - High mileage
- - Car was not 'cared for' as an owner might, ex:
- - Break-in period was probably not observed
- - Although maintained as per factory recommendations, this
- usually means the original oil wasn't changed until
- 7,500 miles or so--Not good!
- - Hard driving in cold weather before car heats up
- - With the many different drivers, odds are fair that someone
- has smoked in the car (which causes interior problems)
-
-
- Of course, some or all of this may not be true for any given car.
- Just be careful, and see what sort of warranty is offered!
