- Nah, we (and the police) knew who he was, where he lived, and
- where he went to school. Making him pay a quarter per phone
- call would have provided us with some emotional satisfaction
- at least.

- Besides, cutting off his phone service implies the phone company
- knows his number and address, which in turn implies that he
- could be apprehended at any time.
