- I just had my Pioneer CD player go out. I brought it in to be repaired
- and the repairman said that 4 years is the normal life expectancy of
- the laser unit. From the beginning it slowly gets weaker until it
- finally goes out and all CD players, cheap and expensive, have the
- same problem.
- The story seems plausible but I just wanted to check with netland
- because there usually are people who know a great deal about these
- things.
