- True, some devices use the staus lines to transfer data in both
- direction. Although this method is slow, it is probably fast enough
- for a slow tape drive. I have seen an ad for a hard drive hook-up on an
- parrellel port, you would be really bottle necking a hard drive if
- you used just the status lines! Some of the newer computers do have
- a true bi-directional parrellel port. Maybe the ad was for only the
- newer computers with the bi-directional port?
