- Dear GNU gurus,
-
- I'm not on your mailing list and do not know how to subscribe. Hopefully
- some coordinator can add me or send me help.
- Now to the real topic of this message:
-
- I'm trying to compile gcc-2.2.2 on a Evans &Sutherland ESV10/33-workstation.
- The computer has RISC3000, mips CPU, running under UNIX (System V with bsd
- extensions). Since there is no alternative in the configure setup-file I
- have tried different combinations which looks most close to a ESV.
-
- The best one was "configure mips-sysv". At least it started to compile some
- files. However it crached at "c-lex.c" with the error message "Segmentation
- violation":
-
- cfe: Fatal: c-lex.c: Segmentation violation
- *** Error code 1
-
- I have also tried MAKE CC="TERMCAP=x OBJS=x LIBFUNCTS=x STAGESTUFF=x cc"
- , but it crashed again because of the same reasons.
-
- If anyone have compiled gcc-2.2.2 and g++ on an ESV please let me know.
- Also, any other hinst are welcome. Mail directly to me. I'm not subscribed to
- the list yet (do not know how to do it).
-
- Thanks for any help,
- Martin Norin
