  27. You have no chance to compile glibc without having make-3.62.19 (at least).
  28. I can't understand why the developers of glibc don't give comments in any
  29. README or INSTALL file, but the new (and not yet released) version of
  30. make is a must in order to be sucessful.

  32. After getting the new make, there haven't been any problems related to
  33. the make stuff.

  35. I've fetched make-3.62.19 from alpha.gnu.ai.mit.edu. But please remember, it
  36. is not (yet) released.
