- Do any of you know of a GCC port to the IBM 3090 family
- running AIX?
-
- We've been looking for such a beast for quite awhile. I
- did find the mvs.* config files for the 370 architecture
- from a source overseas, and I do have Chuck Simmons v1.18
- Amdahl port.
-
- I moved the v1.18 port to the v1.40 level fairly successfully
- only to find that the assembly output of gcc is bad for the
- native C compiler we have. /bin/as chokes on a test.s file
- that my gcc-1.40 creates. The format of the test.s file is
- considerably different from the native cc -S output.
-
- So... I'm hoping that someone out there in netland has
- done this AIX port for the 3090 and can send me the necessary
- configuration files.
-
- Thanks much.
