  12. Can anyone give me a pointer to software for carrying out sequence
  13. matching, as described in Abbot and Hryak "Measuring resemblence in
  14. sequence data: an optimal matching analysis of musician's careers",
  15. Am. J of Sociology 1990.

  17. The technique is relatively unknown in the social sciences but
  18. seems popular in the life sciences, and is used especially for DNA
  19. sequencing.

  21. In the paper, the "Beldings Program Series" is mentioned and
  22. associated with David Bradley of Cal State U, Long Beach. If anyone
  23. can identify this, or provide pointers to any suitable software,
  24. I'd be very grateful.
