  19. I was investigating possibilities of modifying the NB.HLP file,
  20. along the lines Itamar Even Zohar and Tony Woozley showed about
  21. 3.x's HELP file (see NB-HLP01.ZIP at the NB archives) - actually
  22. trying to incorporate Itamar's new virtual TOC generator for 4.0.
  23. The problem was this: my non-lingua, early August, ibid (+?) NB 4.0
  24. could neither STORE nor SAVE the NB.HLP file correctly.  Even
  25. Opening the original NB.HLP and saving in under another name
  26. produced a file different in length and some other features
  27. (towards the end of the file).  I recall Teun van Dijk mentioned
  28. problems that could have been due to his customizing the NB.HLP file.
  29. However, Itamar tell me he has no similar problem with his program.

  31. Has anyone else, perhaps with non-Lingua NB 4.0, tried modifying
  32. NB.HLP?  And which date do your program files have?

  34. This is, of course, a query I should first put to NBI, but given the
  35. time zones, the non-applicability of the 800-numbers, and the reports
  36. of attempts to get through to them from two blocks away, I post this
  37. here.
