  18. I have found that the old, tried-and-true public domain program
  19. DIMMER.COM is perfectly effective with NB.  I have a version which I
  20. have modified slightly (with the author's permission) and would be
  21. willing to share.  I have removed the frills, bells and whistles and
  22. reduced it to a simple screen blanker that blacks out the screen
  23. either after a specified interval or when both shift keys are struck
  24. simultaneously, and that is also sensitive to mouse activity as well
  25. as keyboard activity.  I have not found any program that it conflicts
  26. with.  My modifications removed the conflict it had with NB's keyboard.
