- I do not need to activaaaate my printer assignment every time I enter
- NB4//Lingua. That all works fine. I have been following the Deskjet
- thread and do have something to offer: I called NBI BEFORE I bought my
- HPIIIP and asked them what would be the best printer to use with Lingua.
- They told me any of the HP laserprinters would be best, so long as I
- bought at least 512K RAM. They considered this the minimum required
- to accomodate the downloaded fonts. I can think of no reason why a
- Deskjet with 128K should be able to hold fonts which require 512K
- in a Laserjet.
-
- I take it back. If the fonts are bit mapped (as they are, I know, in
- my old Epson Fx286e) they would take up more RAM in a laser printer
- than in an inkjet. But still, I don't think the difference in resolution
- is that great. Gurus?????
