- We experimented with something called VTMS. Voice Text Messaging Sys.
- I think its an IBM product. We tried running it with our ROLM voice
- mail system and our Profs 2.2.3 on VM/XA and it was a lot more trouble
- than it was worth. Couldn't get it to work consistently and the service
- it provided was nothing we couldn't live without. What we really wanted
- was a more flexible system that would let a person be read their voice
- mail from Profs and vice versa. Lots of vapourware in that dept but
- I've not noticed anything on the horizon that justifies further
- investigation.
