- ERIC/IR SEEKS CONTRIBUTIONS FOR THE DATABASE
-
-
- As you may know, ERIC (the Educational Resources Information Center) is
- a federally sponsored information system for the field of education.
- Its main product is the ERIC Database, the world's largest source of
- education information. The Clearinghouse on Information Resources
- (ERIC/IR) is one of sixteen subject-specialized clearinghouses making
- up the ERIC system. ERIC/IR collects documents for the database in the
- fields of library/information science and educational technology.
-
- Authors who wish to share their research findings, position papers,
- curriculum materials, project descriptions, and other informative
- pieces with their colleagues find a unique vehicle in the ERIC
- database. This constantly updated information system brings together
- such unpublished, hard-to-find materials on all phases, levels, and
- subject areas of education. More than 340,000 documents are already
- available to the public in nearly 900 libraries and institutions that
- hold an ERIC microfiche collection.
-
- To have a library/information science or educational technology
- document reviewed for inclusion in ERIC, send 2 paper copies to the
- address below. (If your document exists in electronic form only,
- contact the clearinghouse to discuss the best way to submit it:
- ERIC@SUVM.ACS.SYR.EDU.)

-
- P.S. from Mike Eisenberg - If you have any curriculum guides, overviews,
- or other library media or technology type documents that have been
- created on the local, regional, or state level - please consider sharing
- these with the rest of the educational world - through ERIC. When in
- doubt, send it along - we will have reviewers determine if it is
- appropriate for ERIC. Thanks!!!!
