  23. This topic is intended to be a listing in addition to a discussion, and depends
  24. fundamentally on the contributions of those involved in third world networking
  25. projects.

  27. What I hope to produce at the end of the period (and this topic runs the whole
  28. length of the project), is as complete a dossier as possible of all known uses
  29. of email, computer conferencing or other remote access to support distance
  30. education in third world countries.  Some examples will include links with
  31. developed countries, but it is the use made by the developing countries which
  32. we wish to highlight.

  34. I trust that such a list (including a brief description of the networking
  35. application and a contact person for further information) and the ensuing
  36. discussion, will be of interest  to the distance education community generally.
