- WARNING: POTENTIALLY OFFENSIVE TEXT!!!
-
- Dear CWIS-networkers,
-
- Slowly the truth dawns on me that the publication of a list of banned
- material is not some joke to get people through the quiet parts of office
- afternoons, but something seriously intended. To my European eyes this is all
- somewhat surrealistic. Why is everybody so preoccupied with sex (I noticed
- that a lot of the material and ALL of the comments afterwards were concerned
- with sex) that even the mentioning of the word sends waves of fear, not only
- through university populations, but obviously even through the Internet?
- (That's the reason for my warning above).
-
- In the same vein, why is it not acceptable to have material containing the
- word 'sex' in your CWIS, while people throw Bible quotings about in their
- postings that I am forced to read? If one is to keep quiet about sexual
- aspects, shouldn't one also keep one's religious feelings to oneself?
-
- And now, on with discussing CWIS things!
-
-
- Sincerely,
-
