  16.   In summary, we're not down. There has been *no* unavailability here since our
  17. scheduled reboot at 6:00 PM on August 29th. I know of no extended connectivity
  18. problems via the Internet, although there have been a few transient (<5 minute)
  19. router instabilities within our regional network provider's net.

  21.   BITNET, on the other hand, has been problematic. Due to some utter incompe-
  22. tence at an upstream BITNET site, we've only had about 25% connectivity over 
  23. the last few weeks. It's getting bad enough that we will be dropping our BITNET
  24. link on the 20th of this month unless things get fixed. However, that shouldn't
  25. affect any users of the spc.edu archives.
