- Just for historical interest, VMS (then called Starlet) DID run on a PDP-11 at
- first. It was a specially microcoded PDP-11/45. As soon as the VAX prototype
- hardware was available they stopped using the 11/45 and switched over to the
- VAX prototype. To the best of my knowledge this was the only PDP-11 that
- actually ran "VMS".
