- I wholeheartedly disagree. A test of the system is necessary to place
- enough confidence in the system to allow for its use. Those who do not
- trust it enough to test will not allow a 90-day orbiter with it, or with-
- out it. Remember, you heard it here first.

- In all due respect, this is one of the nuttiest ideas I've heard in a
- long time. This essentially ties up two orbiters where one would do.
- NASA has neither the money nor the orbiter resources to afford this.
- Further, the docking ports on the lab and hab modules are too close
- together to allow simultaneous docking, so either an EVA crew transfer
- or the Space Shuttle Shuffle is required to make the transfer. Enter-
- taining, but not a wise use of resources.

- Might I add, is EXACTLY the type of thing Autoland was developed to avoid.
- Ground test it thoroughly, SAIL it, flight test it with a fresh crew (to
- take over in the case of failure) so you have the confidence to pursue
- 90-day ops.
