- Having examined Einstein's original letter in the Smithsonian, I was
- amazed to see that such an historically monumental letter consisted of
- only one, or at the most 2 sentences. It said only that he thought
- that work toward developing an atomic bomb was likely to be fruitful,
- and was signed A. Einstein. Kind of like Reagan's one sentence memo
- (executive order) giving the cia the right to conduct covert
- operations inside the states and properties of the United States.
