- Why limit the ancients to "floor faces"? You get a similar argument
- merely by dropping "floor" and allowing all six faces. If you now
- partition the points of the unit cube by grouping together those points
- nearest a given face you get six square pyramids. (Another
- description: each pyramid has base one face of the cube and apex the
- center of the cube.) Each pyramid has volume 1/6, base area 1, and
- height 1/2, yielding the magic factor 1/3.
