- Groebner bases are explained in a lot of places. E.g.
-
- (1) ALGEBRAIC COMPUTING WITH REDUCE by M.MacCallum and F.Wright
- (2) probably in the tex file that accompanies the REDUCE Groebner basis
- package. You can get it free from reduce-netlib@rand.org by sending
- the message:
- send groebner.tex from documents
- send reduce.sty from documents
- (3) Buchberger, "Groebner bases: an algorithmic method in polynomial ideal
- theory." In: Progress, directions and open problems in multidimensional
- sysytems theory, edited by N.K.Bose, pp.184-232 (1985) Reidel, Dordrecht
- (4) J.H.Davenport, Y.Siret and E.TOurnier (1988) COmputer algebra: systems
- and algorithms for algebraic computation, Academic PRess, London
- (5) David Bayer's thesis
- (6) Maybe the Macaulay manual, but I'm not sure.
