  34. One minor error, these modules do not accept serial data, but as desired
  35. by the original poster, they do work with either 4 or 8 bit data.  There
  36. are a couple of other handshaking signals that need to be implemented also.

  38. These LCD modules are really slick.  They (like many other manufacturers')
  39. use the Hitachi HD44780 driver chip which takes care of most everything.
  40. You can send it a variety of cursor movement/ display shift commands, as 
  41. well as download 8 user defined characters.  Very easy to use!!!

  43. Oh, if anyone knows the phone number for Gateway Electronics, try them also.
