- I just spent about 2 hours with the government publications librarians
- (at UCI) and we couldn't come up with anything at all. S1706 is not
- the correct bill; neither is H1706 nor anything close (i.e. 706, 1607,
- etc...). They also tried searching a new database, but it didn't turn
- up much that appeared related. There was mention of an _LA Times_ arti-
- cle concerning defense related contracting (26.JAN.89, Sec IV, p.2,col.
- 3), but I haven't looked it up as yet (microfilm). After conceding de-
- feat, they suggested calling the AACE & tried to get me its phone num-
- ber. There was no American Association of Concerned Engineers listed in
- the association index. There's an American Consulting Engineering Council.
-
- Is there anything correct in that person's letter? Would a company really
- shift a position from full-time to contract just because a person is over
- 40? That's very scary. The more I find out about EE, the less impressed
- I am over my career choice...
