  29. The last version of this I saw (it was part of the FCC funding bill
  30. for 1992) did not have a Total ban that included existing equipment,
  31. BUT it did set a future date (6 months I think) after which 
  32. manufacturers would have to have eliminated any cellular frequency
  33. coverage from any receiver they manufactured.  There was no exception
  34. for test equipment, etc.
