  25. The challenge is not to create such a device at all, but to create one
  26. that is (1) secure, (2) cost-effective, and (3) can be used by people
  27. with disabilities (because of the Americans With Disabilities Act, the
  28. latter is now _legally required_, not just a "nice extra").

  30. Disabilities include but are not limited to:
  31.  
  32. - blindness (braille or fixed-entry format required)
  33. - sight-imparied (braille not ok, requires high-contrast, large characters,
  34.     wide range of sight angles, etc.)
  35. - may be in a wheelchair
  36. - etc.

  38. Oh, yes, you also can't just have a closed booth that people go into.
  39. That would create a security hazard (both for the money and the people
  40. inside).
