- Since a couple of people have asked about beginners scopes,
- I would like to know peoples opinions and experiences
- with the Edmund Astroscan 2001 (4 1/8 inch f 4.3 sealed reflector
- with ball and stand type mount). At about $300 with 28mm
- eyepiece, is this a good value? Have the optics of these
- scopes generally been decent? The fact that the optics are
- "permanently" fixed in their mounts bothers me a bit, but
- I quess for $300 you have to make compromises.
