- Well, I sure hope someone else has had this happen and can give me some
- insight into the future.
-
- Minor background:
- I'm a triathlete and ultra-runner. I've done Ironman and several
- ultras (longest is 50 miles).
-
- Last Saturday I did a 160 mile bike ride in the mountains and finished
- feeling pretty good.
-
- I took Sunday off.
-
-
- Today (Monday).
-
- Temp was around 80 as I head out for an easy (7:30s) 4 mile run. My legs
- & energy level are better than I might have expected. I finish the run
- feeling good.
-
- About 100 yds after finishing I get this weird urge to pee. I get inside
- and hit the first bathroom before I might "embarass" myself. All I get
- is dark red blood and, it seems, not much urine.
-
- Yikes! I have no pain anywhere else, I'm not dizzy . . .
-
- I take a very quick shower and call the doc.
-
- After talking to the doc for just a few minutes he tells me that he is
- 99% sure I have 'tri-skfjskjfskfjklsf'. I don't remember the exact word
- but he explained it as:
-
- Sometimes when your bladder is really empty and you do something that
- jostles it alot it can partially collapse and rub on itself. Just drink
- alot of water and it should clear in a few hours.
-
- Well, after feeling like I had to pee every 15 minutes for 2 hours my
- urine did finally clear.
-
- So, HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE? Assuming that I don't have
- another problem (cancer etc.) what can I expect the next time I run?
-
- Thanks!
