  13. The rear wheels of my '82 Tercel have the springs and shocks physically 
  14. separate, so replacement is quite easy.  The front wheels have the shocks 
  15. running through the springs and the whole unit held together by a mechanism. 
  16. I understand this type of suspension is called the McPherson struts (correct 
  17. me if I'm wrong).

  23. How do I remove the front shocks when the spring is compressed under
  24. high tension ?
